RiverMend Health's Dr. Mark Gold Presenting At Stanford University School Of Medicine

Substance Abuse and Depression are commonly associated by experts, patients, and families.  Does depression cause tobacco, alcohol and drug use?  Does use of drugs that target the brain’s reinforcement and mood centers cause depression?  Evidence for both points of view exist and will be presented, as well as a logical approach to evaluation and treatment which involves a complete medical, neurological, addiction, and psychiatric evaluation and treatment when indicated.  RiverMend Health Scientific Advisory Boards Chairman, Dr. Mark S. Gold will be presenting today at Stanford University School of Medicine.  Dr. Gold’s Grand Rounds presentation is entitled, “My Career in Translational Addiction Research: From Clonodine To Naltrexone to Cocaine, Dopamine, and Process Addictions.”

Today’s presentation is free and open to the public.  It will be from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PST at the Li Ka Shing Center, Room 130.
