Joseph S. Ricci, PhD serves as the Administrative Director for Behavioral Health Services at Georgia Regents Health System. Dr. Ricci is responsible for providing leadership, direction and overall administrative management for outpatient, inpatient and emergency Behavioral Health Services. He also manages business operations and finances, and serves as clinical faculty for the Department of Psychiatry at The Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University.
Dr. Ricci has more than 30 years of experience in the field of behavioral health as an addiction treatment specialist. He has served in a variety of capacities in behavioral health, including direct service, program development, evaluation and administration. He has previously held regional and national positions with several national, managed behavioral healthcare companies. He has been involved in the development, administration and evaluation of publicly funded behavioral healthcare programs and has established and managed outpatient and residential addiction treatment programs.
He earned his doctorate at the University of South Dakota and received post-doctoral training in addiction studies at Indiana University.
